Hi, I’m Catherine.

I’m a cradle Catholic and life-long story lover. Because of this, I see the world a little bit differently. And I love to write about what I see.

Ever since I encountered God as a teenager, I have felt like He shows up just about everywhere: in the taste of my birthday cake each year, in the afternoon sunlight filtering through my front window, in the softness of my children’s hands. I chase these moments, often savoring them, and writing about them when I can.

My pursuit of truth, beauty, and goodness led me to Ignatian spirituality as an undergraduate at Loyola University Maryland, a dreamy semester abroad in Rome, and a master’s degree in theology from the University of Notre Dame. Feeling called to share my discoveries, I then taught religion and English at the secondary level for nearly a decade.

These days, I finally have words for my deep desire to find God in all things: it’s called having a Catholic imagination.
